La Premier League arriva alla sosta con la ventottesima giornata che ci lascia però tre appendici. Liverpool-Fulham, Brighton-Manchester United e Manchester City-West Ham vengono infatti rinviate per gli impegni di queste squadre in FA Cup. L’Arsenal piega il Crystal Palace e allunga in testa momentaneamente a +8 sulla seconda. Il Tottenham viene bloccato in casa del Southampton, trionfo importante invece per il Newcastle a Nottingham. Il Brentford pareggia con il Leicester, stop Chelsea con l’Everton. L’Aston Villa travolge il Bournemouth, trionfa il Leeds sul campo del Wolverhampton.
