Riparte anche la Premier League con la quinta giornata. Il Manchester City vince anche in casa del West Ham e resta perfetto, l’Arsenal vince di misura in casa dell’Everton. Successo rocambolesco per il Tottenham con lo Sheffield United, il Liverpool espugna il campo del Wolverhampton. Il Brighton regala una lezione di calcio al Manchester United, bella vittoria dell’Aston Villa sul Crystal Palace. Pari per il Chelsea in casa del Bournemouth, il Newcastle la spunta sul Brentford. Il Fulham batte il Luton Town, pari fra Nottingham e Burnley.
